Health and Safety in the Workplace

Course Overview

Achieving occupational health is a manifestation of administrative development and successful economic planning. Occupational health is intended to improve the health of employees in all professions and to maintain them in the highest possible physical, psychological and social well-being to protect workers from all health hazards in the workplace. After completion of this training program you will be able to apply all occupational safety rules in the workplace, dealing with work injuries and identification of occupational safety equipment.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course participant will be able to:

  • Recognize the importance of occupational safety and health programs at workplaces.
  • Identify the role of management in preparation of plans to ensure safety at workplaces.
  • Evaluate the role of employees in developing safety programs and adhering to existing plans.
  • Understand the steps of the risk assessment process and its classification mechanism.
  • Link risk assessment and designing appropriate interventions to meet them.
  • Identify the OSHA risk classification system.
  • Determine the most important specifications for personal safety equipment.
